RUNNERS' UPDATE: Smartphone Users to Be Fined If Found Without Medical Declaration App - Health Min

People present at workplace, entertainment and other crowded places must install Bluezone or NCOVI application to help detect close contacts and turn on the Bluetooth mode, while those subject to medical isolation or post-isolation medical supervision must install the VHD and Bluezone apps, according to Decision 2666/QD-BYT in effect from May 29, 2021.

Runners practicing at crowded places should pay attention to this latest rule. Specific details of the aforementioned locations are listed in the directive, the full text of which in Vietnamese can be found here.

The Health Ministry issued the directive after a new strain of virus with a relatively fast spread rate has infected more than 4,100 people in 34 of 63 provinces and cities across the country since April 27.

The ministry assigns the People's Committees in all the provinces and cities along with the local Department of Health to organize the implementation of the directive as well as inspection and dealing with violations. The directive does not specify the level of fines.

As at May 31 mid-day, Vietnam has identified 7,168 cases of COVID-19, of which 47 have died, according to the Health Ministry data. A total of 4,164 people have been infected since April 27.

 

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon has the ONLY running track in Ha Long certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.
