HALONG BAY HERITAGE MARATHON 2023 ENDS ORGANIZATIONAL WORK

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2023’s Organizers have completed preparations to welcome 9,500 runners, said Duc Huong Anh Co Ltd, the event owner and organizer.

The company reported progress of the event preparations to the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders from the provincial government, departments of information and communications, health, transport, foreign affairs, the provincial and Halong city police, as well as the leadership of the cities of Ha Long, Cam Pha and the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.

Based on the place, runners participating in the 8th edition of the marathon will compete on a straight, spacious, and flat route connecting Ha Long with Cam Pha. The Organizers have secured a separate lane of about 15 meters wide for the race on  November 19.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2023 is regarded as the race with Vietnam’s most beautiful and safest heritage track.

At the meeting, Duc Huong Anh Co representatives also presented detailed plans on ensuring track security, medical support and environmental hygiene to preserve the landscape of Ha Long Bay, as well as details related to the event area at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.

The leaders of the departments have expressed strong consensus for the Organizers’ preparations for the event.

The marathon’s Organizers wish the runners to have both physical strength and spirit to compete excellently and achieve high results.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon running track is certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors since 2022.

The Heritage Race system, organized annually by DHA Vietnam, comprises the Hanoi Marathon - Heritage Race in October, the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon in November and the Can Tho Marathon - A Heritage Race in December.
