Halong Bay Heritage Marathon: Refreshment Points

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022, which owns the most beautiful heritage track in Vietnam, will arrange 11 Refreshment Points throughout the route.

RPs will be located in the middle of the road, serving runners on both the directions. The race will mark the first time in Vietnam, when running clubs are assigned with the task of watering, cheering, and giving directions to runners instead of volunteers.

The Organizers understand that, more than anyone else it is the runners who understand the needs and psychology of runners on the track. Therefore, at this year's Halong Bay Heritage Marathon, there will be running mates, brothers and sisters in the running clubs that will give water to make runners stronger, and fuel a powerful fire so that competing runners can burn their steps to sprint to the Finish line.

RPs No. 1 at the Start point and No. 2 at the Finish line will be handled by a famous club in the community – VKL Runners. VKL's brilliant yellow shirts will also appear on the track, in the FM sub 4 and HM sub 2 trains, adding a strong inspiration to any runner on the track.

RP No. 3, over 1 km away from the Finish line and which will support around 12,000 times the runners cruising past in both the directions, will be the headquarters of Turtle Runners. Here, the Turtles will be providing medical support, showing the U-turn for a 5-km distance so that runners can safely reach the Finish line.

At RP No. 4, we will meet the bright red shirts of Bac Ninh Run Group. This will also be a hot spot for security on the entire route and BRN has received an additional task to ensure security of the track, so that runners can confidently stride forward.

TPR – The Thong Nhat Park Running Club will be present at RP No. 5 at the U-turn point for the 10-km distance, with jubilant speakers and drums.

Standing at the peak, Thanh Ha Runners must definitely be mentioned, as the club will be stationed at RP No. 6 on the top of Ha Tu slope, where lie the complex intersection with residential areas and the U-turn point for the 21-km distance. Through gentle slopes, runners will be energized from one of the most powerful clubs in the northern region today.

The two co-hosts in Quang Ninh province, Cam Pha Runners and Quang Yen Runner Club, will be on duty at RPs No. 7 and 8, next to green mangrove forests, under white clouds and in the bright yellow sun. The two clubs will show their hospitality with cool bottles of water and jubilant drumming.

RP No. 9 of Thanh Tri Runners and RP No. 10 of Green Stars are located in Quang Hanh area, the starting point of Cam Pha city. Runners will be guided to run through a tunnel under the mountain, the most unique facility in Quang Ninh. This is also an extremely beautiful track section connecting Ha Long Bay with Bai Tu Long Bay.

All the RPs have medical stations attached to ensure the best fitness for runners.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon running tracks is certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.

The Heritage Race system, organized annually by DHA Vietnam, comprises the VPBank Hanoi Marathon in October, the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon in November and the Can Tho Marathon - A Heritage Race in December.
