Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022: Start Time, COT

Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022, the heritage race owning Vietnam's most beautiful route, announces the Start time and cut-off time details for all the distances.

Marking a strong return after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the country's oldest heritage race changes its running route, and the Start time has taken into account the best time of the day for runners to fully experience the new coastal road connecting Ha Long with Cam Pha, the two most beautiful and modern cities of Quang Ninh province.

The 42-km and 21-km distance start at 5:00 a.m., in the cool air of late autumn. Runners would need to prepare a thin jacket to keep their body warm before warming up and competing.

The Organizers will arrange photographers at special points to capture the moment when runners cruise in the bright red dawn on the sea.

The distances of 10 km and 5 km both start at 6:30 am. This is the most beautiful time of the day, when the sun has just risen and the air is chilly. The two routes are flat, with a total gain of only about 2 m, suggesting many PRs and PBs to be established.

There are about 6,000 runners registered to compete at Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022, including more than 1,000 foreigners from 42 countries.

Competing at the Ha Long Bay Heritage Marathon 2022, runners will not only experience the most beautiful heritage track in Vietnam, but also have the opportunity to be on par with runners around the world.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon running tracks is certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.
