Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022: New Unique Route

Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 runners will for the first time stride along the coastal road linking the cities of Ha Long and Cam Pha, passing part of the bay.

The map for the 42-km distance shows a new route for the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022. 

 

The new route for the 42.195-km Full Marathon also includes Cam Pha tunnel, the largest in Vietnam's northern region with a length of 235 m on the Ha Long - Cam Pha route, marking a major change in the country's oldest heritage race as it enters the eighth season.

With the Start and Finish lines set at the traditional Dolphin Palace, one of Halong city's symbols, the running track with a slight slope is broad and completely separated from traffic to ensure safety.

Runners will get many extremely interesting experiences when passing from crowded residential areas to deserted road sections between the forest and the sea, where everyone could hear his own footsteps and heartbeat.

On a gentle autumn morning, striding along the shore of the World Natural Wonder on a beautiful flat road will definitely help runners conquer their goals.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 will also include many interesting activities, from a Game Relay and carnival to individual prizes for the professional and non-professional leagues as well as prizes for running clubs, Vietnam's biggest ever of its kind.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 has the ONLY track in Ha Long to be certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.
