Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 Finalizes Race Date Nov 13

A renovated Halong Bay Heritage Marathon will welcome back runners to compete at one of the world's natural wonders on November 13, 2022.

 

Making a debut in 2015 and having missed last year's race due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's oldest heritage race named on the world marathon map will contain many changes, marking a transition as it moves to the 7th edition.

The difference of the 2022 race that will definitely bring excitement to runners is a total change of the completely blocked, super-wide running track, under the rows of coconut trees around the bay. The marathoners will for the first time run through Ha Long and Cam Pha, the two most romantic and modern cities of Quang Ninh province.

Welcoming the new day, runners will enjoy the typical taste of the sea when striding past the famous Ha Long fish market.

In addition, 20 running clubs which get the earliest registration will win the right to play RELAY, a matching game arranged exclusively for club members and which will appear for the first time at a race in Vietnam.

From the night of November 12 to the end of the race, runners are also immersed in the joyful and lively festive vibe of the coastal city.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 will begin enrollment in the next few days, offering special preferential policies to thank the runners who have trusted and accompanied the race for nearly a decade.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 has the ONLY track in Ha Long to be certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.

The Heritage Race system, organized annually by DHA Vietnam, comprises the VPBank Hanoi Marathon in October, the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon in November and the Can Tho Marathon - A Heritage Race in December.
